Guest Post: Many Websites can’t be read by visitors. Is yours responsive?

Original post: Maria Marsala (7 April 2018)

Today, your website must be readable on all-digital displays:  TV, desktops, laptops, notepads, smartphones, and even watches!

For that to happen, your website needs to be “responsive” (respond to different size devices).

10 years ago, when I looked at my website statistics, only 10-25% of the people who came to my site were using smartphones.   In 2015, the number was 50%, and that’s when I moved my site to the WordPress Platform.   Today, the number of smartphone users is 65%.   For people in India and the UK, the percentage is even higher.

Besides looking up your site on all the digital devices to see how it looks, you can easily tell if your site is responsive by:

  1. Going to your favorite browser.  Click the double boxes on the top right side of the screen.  Make the smaller screen the size of your phone screen.  That’s what others see when using their smartphones.
  2. Going inside your website to the theme, clicking on the theme’s owners website to see if it’s been created to be responsive, or sometimes, if you look around your control panel or dashboard, you’ll see images of different sizes of screens on which you can view the site.
  3. You can click this link and it will tell you! http://ami.responsivedesign.is/

If your website is NOT responsive, it’s time to move it to a platform where it will be. WordPress is only one of the options where you can easily buy themes that are:

a) responsive, and

 b) a back-end that anyone who knows how to use MS WORD can easily update or add pages or blog posts.

Guest Post: How often should advisors update their websites?

Well … any Small Business for that matter of fact.

Original post: Maria Marsala (7 April 2018)

It’s important to update your website yearly.  For sure, you want to update the copyright date every December or January of each year to match the new year.  If your site reads (c) 2014 name of the company, people “may think” your site is 4 years old and you may be out of business.  So, keep the date current with this year’s date.

Every two years, ask your marketing consultant to give your site an hour once-over.  They’ll look at things such as:

  • Are the code, theme, and plugins current?
  • Do the photos reflect your ideal clients and are their clothing or hair styles current?
  • Do the words need to be updated?
  • Are the fonts or formats out-of-date?
  • Are there things on your site that were big trends, but they are no longer seen that way?
  • Are the pages too long or too short for current styling?
  • Are all the links working?
  • And so much more…

Due to technology changes, every 4-5 years, it’s common to refresh the overall look or do a complete overhaul.  Even with changes every 2 years, if you haven’t changed the overall look of your site, it may seem old.

For example, in 2008, when I looked at my website statistics, the visitors using smartphones passed the 50% mark.  That meant they were missing much of my site because it was not easily viewable on smartphones.  I’m sure you’ve been to one of those sites, even now.

Realizing the work that goes into a site to keep it fresh will help you budget yearly for changes to your website to keep it fresh and memorable.  It also provides you with an additional task to place on your yearly calendar.  Choose a date to call your marketing consultant and ask for a website review consultation.

Remember, your website IS your online brochure, your sales page(s), your events calendar, the place you capture visitor’s email addresses, a place for clients to go to view their portal, and so much more.

And yes, it’s a pain to go through the website review process yearly.   But you want to attract your ideal clients to your firm?  Right?

It’s worth keeping current.

Wealth: Website Or No Website…That’s The Question

Do you want to make money through the Internet but you don’t have enough experience or capital to start your own online business? You don’t have to worry, for a lot of online marketing options exist for you to start with. One of these options, and shall I say the best, is affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing provides the first time online marketers like you the chance to market something online even without having your own product to sell. All you have to do is to sign up with an affiliate marketing program, which is usually owned by an online merchant or retailer, and start picking the products you want to promote. As an affiliate, you are paid by the merchant for your services on a commission basis, that is whenever you have directed a visitor to the merchant’s site and the visitor actually buys something.

Becoming an affiliate in an affiliate marketing program is often quick and easy, and for most affiliate programs, signing up is also free. But despite these and all the benefits being promised by affiliate programs, many people are still hesitant to get into affiliate marketing. One of the reasons why a lot of people remain hesitant is the lack of a website to start marketing his affiliate products. This now leads us to the question of whether a website is required or necessary in affiliate marketing or not.

Many people say that one can do affiliate marketing even without a website to start with. Actually, one can really start promoting and marketing his affiliate products even without a website; and there exist a lot of ways on how this can be done. In fact, many affiliate marketing strategies that lead to success can exist without actually needing a website. Among these strategies are email marketing, offline promotions, writing e-books, writing ezines and engaging in online discussions like forums, chats, message boards and others.

*Email Marketing

Email marketing, or maintaining email lists, is actually the most popular affiliate marketing strategy that doesn’t require the affiliate to maintain a website. In this affiliate marketing strategy, what you basically do is maintain a list of the email ads of your prospective customers and provide them with articles that are relevant with the affiliate products and programs you are promoting. Articles that you provide your contacts with need not always be promotional, for many individuals find such types of email annoying. Rather, it would be better if you provide them with something informative and just add small text ads that link to your merchant’s site.

*Offline Promotion

There are many ways on how you can promote your affiliate products offline. Among the common medium used for such promotions are classified ads, brochures and flyers. Classified ads would generally work better compared to the other two because classified ads in periodicals often get a wider audience.

*Writing Free e-books

If you have a knack in writing, writing an e-book can be the best way for you to promote your affiliate products in the absence of an actual website. Just like in emails and newsletters, your readers would better appreciate your e-book if it is not too promotional but rather informative. Be sure, however, to make the contents of your e-books relative to the actual affiliate products you are promoting. And just like in email marketing, you can just place text ads or banners somewhere near the end of your e-book that links to the merchant’s site.

*Writing Free Ezines

Ezines are publications or articles that aim to inform individuals about a particular topic. If you don’t have a website and yet want to be an affiliate, you can well use ezines to promote your affiliate products or to insert links to your merchant’s site. If you have a website, your ezine article may actually work well as content for your site. But since you have no website, you can just submit your free ezine articles to various websites that host ezines, like goarticles.com, ezinearticles.com and others.

*Online discussions (Forums, Chats, Message Boards, etc.)

With or without a website, you just can’t ignore online discussions because they are great venues for marketing your affiliate products. In chats, forums, message boards and discussion boards with topics related to your products, you can easily find people who may be interested in the products you are promoting.

With all these strategies, it may appear that one really doesn’t need to have a website to start marketing his affiliate products and promoting his affiliate programs. Well, starting in an affiliate program without a website may be easy, but getting successful in affiliate marketing without a website is another thing. While one can actually gain enormous success in affiliate marketing even without a website, it is a rare instance that “newbies” like you can reach the same levels of success.

Having a website is not really a pre-requisite in entering into an affiliate program unless otherwise, the program owner would require you to have one. But while this is so, I would still recommend that you have for yourself a website, if not now, then maybe at a later time. Having a website creates a lot of advantages to affiliate marketing. For one, it provides you with a place where you can creatively promote not only one of your affiliate products but all of your affiliate products. With a website, you can also advertise your affiliate products to a wider market.

Again, having a website is not a requirement in affiliate marketing. But with the advantages that a website can provide, I’d rather have one for myself and make affiliate marketing a lot easier for me.

Here are some Resources & Products which may be of assistance to you.

Guest Post: How to install and set up a free SSL on WordPress

Original post: Onder Hassan (10 April 2018)

Building a website for the first time is exciting. The potential to share your message and have it reach millions of people around the world has never been this simple… yet with that, comes challenges.

As we all know as website owners, the single most difficult thing we need to overcome, particularly when it comes to doing anything transactional is developing trust with your visitors and customers.

It becomes imperative that you do everything you possibly can to build up your trust and credibility.

None of your visitors knows who you are, have likely ever met or seen you in person, and somehow you have to bridge that gap in making them want to take notice of what you have to offer.

This is commonly done by posting high-quality content, providing ‘iron-clad guarantees, giving away free ebooks, and maintaining communication with them via email.

However, in recent months major changes have been occurring in the world of Google and one that has literally affected millions of websites across the internet, causing them to quickly adapt with the times, which has proven to be a positive step forward in gaining trust and authority.

As of July 2018 with the release of their latest browser ‘Chrome 68′, all sites that aren’t secure and use the conventional ‘HTTP://” protocol will be marked as ‘Not Secure.’

This means that all of your current websites will be marked as ‘unsafe’ and deemed unfit for visitors.

Your site will display this below.

and then…

Fortunately, the steps taken to make a website secure in Google Chrome require a few simple steps and we’ll go on to talk about this process in this article.

But first, before getting into it, we will discuss what this change is, why it benefits you, and the steps you’ll need to take to begin immediately implementing this on your own websites.

Creating A Secure Website – The Introduction To Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

Now before we delve into explaining what SSL is, we would like to put you at ease by saying we will do our very best to help explain what this is, as simply as possible without getting into the complex technical jargon that might lead to confusion and overwhelm.

So in brief, SSL was developed to provide a means of communication that’s secure and robust for your visitors.

It essentially provides a secure channel between two computers operating over the internet or through a network. This provides the following benefits:

1) It encrypts and protects your data.

2) It correctly authenticates a connection to a secure server to prevent unscrupulous activity and reduce cyber attacks.

3) It ensures that the data sent is actually delivered between computers.

If you’re a business owner selling products over the internet, you can start to see how important this is and how it can build trust with your prospects and customers. Particularly if you’re looking to allow credit/debit card transactions and share secure files across the internet.

You can see some stats of sites that are using SSL as default.

The Benefits Of A Secure Website

  1. Google Chrome will start labeling your site as secure.
  2. A secure label indicates trust and authority.
  3. Make more sales – 84% of users would abandon a purchase if data was sent over an insecure connection.
  4. Better search ranking – HTTPS has been a ranking signal since 2014.
  5. Get to page one quicker – A high percentage of page one search results are secure HTTPS pages.

FREE SSL Certificate

Now before you question the price of SSL certificates we are going to show you how to use a service called Let’s Encrypts. It’s an open-source project that provides free SSL’s that are completely secure.

Site: letsencrypt.org

Let’s Encrypt is a free, automated, and open certificate authority (CA), run for the public’s benefit. It is a service provided by the Internet Security Research Group (ISRG).

We give people the digital certificates they need in order to enable HTTPS (SSL/TLS) for websites, for free, in the most user-friendly way we can. We do this because we want to create a more secure and privacy-respecting Web.

To prove how secure they are, you can see how many active sites uses Let’s Encrypt via their live stats page, and below is a screenshot from March 2018.

Let’s Encrypt currently have 5% of the market share as shown below and that will increase due to the price (Free) and ease of setup. Some SSL companies charge over $1K per year so it’s a no-brainer for small business WordPress users to follow our setup guide.

How To Switch To HTTPS For WordPress

Setting up SSL on your website used to take some technical know-how in order to get this running properly.

However, the good news is that as it’s becoming essential to have, more and more hosting companies are beginning to adopt simple ‘1-Click’ SSL installs; taking away all of the headaches of doing this manually.

If you’re a ‘SiteGround’ customer, you’ll see this change immediately as SSL is installed automatically with every WordPress installation.

Here’s a link to their official announcement: https://www.siteground.com/blog/https-wordpress/

If you’re currently unsure whether your hosting provider has this functionality, we recommend getting in touch with their support staff for more information.

But fear not, we also have a manual process for getting this setup using a few free WordPress plugins that will make this process as simple and painless as possible.

The DIY Method

If you want to do it yourself that’s fine. We’ve created a how-to article showing everything you need to have Let’s Encrypt set up using free WordPress plugins.

See this article: How To Setup Let’s Encrypt Tech Guide

Test Your SSL

Now you have followed the steps in our SSL tech guide go and test your SSL at SSL Shopper.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this article. If you have any questions about what we’ve covered. Please let us know by leaving your comments below. We would love to hear from you.

Guest Post: Tips for when you need a website and have limited funds.

Original post: Maria Marsala (27 May 2018)

The goal of course is to add a line to your budget for website design/updates and have a website designed that is geared towards your ideal clients.

If your clients are doctors, they’d expect to see a certain kind of website from an advisor they are researching.  If your clients are single moms, you need a website geared to them.

But what if you don’t have the 4K-7K to have a website built for you?

What could you do?

Below are some options to get you started…

Pages

For a start-up website, you need a Home, Services, About You, About Us, and Contact page.  I would also add a link to wherever the New Account documents can be found and to any portfolio management systems that clients can view.

Hosting and Domain Names

Consider that any hosting company you work with offers you SSL (that little “s” at the end of the HTTP in a URL).  Some companies will offer the service free, others charge 50-75 for a certificate and may charge you for putting the “s” on your site.

Consider this.  Choose firms that can grow WITH you.  Meaning, you can buy a lower package now, but in a year,  you can upgrade!

[… For more information on Hosting, Domains and Costing -> Contact Us Directly …]

Cheap companies and cheap or the low end of many hosting and web design packages often include the branded links, domains they can hold hostage or they put your site on their site, instead of using your own URL.

Whatever company you choose, only do so after making sure their templates are “responsive”  (easily viewable on computer, laptop, notepad, smart phone) and take a good long look at their templates.  Find one that you love just the way it already is.  Adjusting templates is very time-consuming and can be costly.

SiteGround – Their Startup program is best for most small business owners on a very limited budget.   They offer a website builder and an easy way to put a basic WordPress website and blog on the site.  Once you put WP on your site, it’s up to you to find and buy a theme*.  You can buy your URL (domain name) on their site or I prefer to not have hosting and my domain through the same company, and I use and recommend, Dynadot.   SSL is placed on your domain free (just ask them).

For themes, I highly recommend that you get something very easy to use.  Find a company that offers you themes similar to the look of the WordPress website you will love for a year or two.  WordPress offers free themes, however, the last time I looked, I couldn’t find something I liked that was modern.  Let me go back a step…  I did find themes I liked in WP free themes, but in order to get the options I wanted, I needed to purchase the pro version of the theme.  But honestly, I’m still looking around.

[… For more information on Hosting, Domains and Costing ->Contact Us Directly …]

*There are also many web designers on Fiveer and Upfront who can fix what you created using your time and theme.  Test them out on a small project before paying them for a larger project.

Wealth: 3 Necessary Tools for the High Rolling Affiliate Marketer

What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer? What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business.
Although affiliate marketing is touted as one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds. The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business. We have consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business and below are the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.

Important Tool #1: Your Own Website

The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. Your website is the jump-off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase. Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.

The most important thing you should consider is that almost all web users go online to look for information, not necessarily to go and buy something. Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking. By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote. Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.

Important Tool #2: Incentives

Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market. Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting. Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters. You can present free software, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.

Important Tool #3: Link Popularity

The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world. Attracting people to your site should be the first step you should carry out. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking. Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity, you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways to do this – at no cost at all – is by submitting articles, with your website’s link at the resource box, to e-zines and free article sites. You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free, just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is. Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.

These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination. You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high rolling affiliate marketer.

The easiest Way to Create Articles – Public Domain!

There are many webmasters that find writing articles for their site to be a very tedious task. Many people who need to write articles also procrastinate as much as they can to delay the amount of writing they need to do. Many people dread writing articles because they find researching the topic and writing down original materials will be too taxing on them.

You need to have your creative juices flowing and simply downloading an article would be plagiarism or tantamount to stealing, not exactly. Have you ever heard about the public domain? These are articles written down by many authors that have declared their works to be public domain, which means anybody can use them for whatever purpose they want.

While most authors would prefer to copyright their work for their rights, there is also a number who doesn’t mind sharing their work. Public domain articles are not owned by anybody and can be used and abused by anyone. The writers have waived their rights to their works and it is out there for the public to make use of.

You can use public domain articles in helping you write your articles. With the public domain articles, you can simply edit them to your own style and rewrite them as you please to make them suitable for your needs. All the ideas are there already and it’s just a matter of finding the written article with the topic or subject you need.

This is probably the easiest way to write articles. You don’t need to scour the library or the internet for hours for information and start an article from scratch. For webmasters who are looking for articles to fill their site and to generate a high ranking for their website in search engine results, they can just modify the article by infusing keywords and keyword phrases related to their site.

writing

A webmaster or website operator do not risk any chance of getting sued for copyright infringement because they are public domain, once again meaning that anybody can use it. Writing articles by using the public domain won’t require as much work as writing one from scratch would. You save a lot of time also.

One good factor in using public domain articles for your site or for any project is that you save a lot of money. You dismiss the need to hire experienced and seasoned writers that some website operators use to write their articles. While a single five hundred worded article would only set you down 10 to 15 dollars, this cost will drastically increase when you need hundreds of articles to fill the needs of your site.

For those who needs articles to generate newsletters or an e-zine, public domain articles will be very beneficial. You do not need to count on your contributors or pay writers to write down articles for your newsletter or e-zine. You can fill all the pages without any cost or the worry of being sued and sought after by the writers. You can simply copy the articles and place them on your newsletter and e-zine.

writing-2

Public domain articles are a virtually untapped resource that many people fail to realise the true value of. The power of articles, keywords and keyword phrases have been deemed invaluable these past few years for many internet-based businesses and sites that want to rank high in search engine results.

The number of article and content writers have grown significantly due to the rise in the demand for articles. As newer and newer topics and subjects have arisen, there are many demands for new articles to be written. An industry has been formed and this is a worldwide demand.

Public domain articles have given a great alternative for those who are cash strapped as well as do not have the time nor the skills to do their articles for themselves.

Searching for public domain articles is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3. You can search for them in search engines and do searches in many directories for the topic or subject that you need. Read them and simply copy-paste them to a word processing program and simply edit them to suit your needs.

Online Business – Boost Your Signups!

Hi there,

I was sitting with a client, who wants to venture into a new online business and does not know how to start marketing… Here is a summary of my reply:

How To Get Started?

Merely inserting someplace where email addresses can be gathered and collected is already a first step towards building a list. In general, there are two choices that you’ll be faced with when deciding exactly how and where you’re going to be gathering emails:

1. Creating an Opt-in Page

Amongst those who are honestly going all-out to build up a list, this is the most commonly employed method, simply because of its effectiveness. By creating a separate opt-in page, all the attention on that page can be focused completely on the singular goal of getting a customer to subscribe to the list.

Essentially, the best opt-in pages are those that have no ‘extras’ that may distract from the goal, and so normal advertisements and other links (except at least one leading back to the main website) are removed.

Really, it is sort of like plugging up all the ‘leaks’ so that everything just flows towards gathering up emails.

Also, having a distinct opt-in page would allow traffic to be channelled directly to it, maybe even bypassing the main website entirely. By doing so, the possibility that visitors will be distracted on the way to the opt-in page is removed as well.

Thus, the opt-in page gives the customer a two-way decision: to subscribe or not to subscribe (with everything possible being done to ensure that the former option is picked!).

Remember: With an opt-in page, your form should always be ‘above the fold’ (so that visitors will not need to scroll down to see it).

2. Adding an Opt-in Form to the Main Website

Definitely less effective under normal circumstances, it is still an option that could be considered. In more some websites, especially blogs, which may not want to have their traffic leaving the main website to go off to a separate opt-in page, having the form as part of an easily located sidebar could even work just as well.

Of course, doing so does not have the added benefits of removing all other distractions from the equation, but it is still better than nothing.

Regardless of which option is chosen in order to build up a list, there’s one other key ingredient that should not be overlooked:

Autoresponders

Firstly, it is actually possible to build and maintain a list without using autoresponders at all. That said, it would be monumentally difficult, inconveniencing, and get close to being downright impossible when the list reached a large size.

Today’s generation of top-of-the-line autoresponders deals with a variety of functions. Not only do they store email addresses, but they also have the ability to send out scheduled automated emails.

Most autoresponders track a variety of statistics based not only on sign-up rates but also on the click-through rates and open rates of emails. In short, they can do pretty much everything that you’d ever need to be done to help manage your list.

Just to get you started, here are the two best autoresponder services that are currently available:

1. Aweber:

By far the most established autoresponder; it has a huge list of features, and also claims to be able to avoid junk mail filters the best.

2. GetResponse:

Aweber’s main rival is almost as good in terms of the number of features on offer, and a lot cheaper, especially for large lists.

Freedom: Top Writers Around the World will write for you – Outsourcing

The content of your site tells a whole lot about your website. They will basically describe what your site is about and also tell people what your site has to offer. Articles and website content makes a whole lot of difference in your site because they can catch the attention of your website visitors and keep them in there.

With good website content, you get the benefit of clearly depicting what it is you want to share with people. Also, good content and articles can lead people to your site. With more traffic, you get to earn more from your site making it profitable. A site’s success, be it for profit or not, is the number of the flow of traffic in your site.

So how do good content and great articles get you traffic? Well, many search engines rely on the keyword and keyword phrases of a site to put it in their results list. If your content contains a good number of keywords and keywords phrases, it may be chosen to be a part of the top listed sites in the search result pages.

But before you think of just plastering your site with all the keywords and keyword phrases it could hold, search engines also filter out that abuse. You must have good well-written articles that incorporate the keywords and keyword phrases properly in their content and articles.

There are many of those who cannot afford the time to write their own website contents and articles. While writing content and articles specifically designed for the internet may take some getting used to and some researching and learning, there are many writers that can be found all over the world who could do it for you.

Many of us do not have the time to learn web content writing and article writing designed for the internet. There are writers who have great experience in doing this and charge only a minimal fee for such work. Freedom: Client’s Question – I hate writing articles, Isn’t there an easier way?!?

Owning, running and maintaining an internet based business or a site needs articles. Plain and simple, every who has a site knows this. Even those who don’t have sites but are frequent internet users know this as well. Articles quench the thirst for information and knowledge of the people. Plus, the articles provide many other benefits for the site.

The benefits that articles provide are putting a site high in the ranking in search results of keywords and keyword phrases that pertain or are relevant to his or her site. They also provide an attraction to website visitors when they are appreciated and is linked to your site from another site or newsletter. Articles provide for the increase of the confidence and trust levels of customers to your site and company.

Many articles are also beneficial to both the company and its traffic. When the readers like the articles, they would tell more of their friends, family and peers and recommend your site to them, providing for a larger volume of traffic. You get bigger sales if your traffic trusts and believes in you. Your product or services would be much easier to sell when they know you know what you are doing and talking about.

So ok, we have established that articles are very important to a site and to business. Articles are crucial and to keep ahead in the game, a site must have an article, it is imperative. There is one dilemma though, not many people like writing articles.

Many website owners would rather spend their time on something else, and unless you’re a big-time company, you don’t have the necessary resources to use on a pool of article writers. Plagiarism or copying of other articles is frowned upon and could easily get you into trouble, worst case scenario; a hefty fine and jail time.

So what are the other options?

Well, for starters if you hate writing articles and you can’t afford to hire people to write for you then don’t. Get free articles. The first place to look at for free articles is the public domain. Here you won’t have problems with copyright infringement and the following penalties and fines if you get caught for plagiarism.

Public domain articles are articles freely given to the public for public use. You can do whatever you want with it. You can place it on your site, name it as yours, put it in a newsletter its you decision. Always remember though that you will have to choose articles that is very relevant to your site.

The downside to public domain articles is that since it is free for everybody, many of your competitors may have access to them as well. Since every site needs to be original and unique even though you have the same niche, this could be a predicament. You may also have to edit them a bit to place more keywords and keyword phrases to make them better.

Another way to get free articles is to allow other sites which have the same subject or topic as yours to submit articles to your site. This would be only to augment your existing content or else all your articles would be leading to other sites since these articles would have resource boxes with them that could link or direct the readers to their site. That’s why it is important to have your own articles; you could use them to link your site to other sites as well.

But, to truly feel the impact of what a good article to you, go for original ones. There are many article writers who do part-time and freelance article writing jobs that charge only minimal fees. You can get good articles that have all the keywords and keyword phrases you need and people are looking for.

The investment you made for these articles would be worthwhile because you could use them for all the benefits you could offer. You hold copyrights to them and you will be able to use them any way you want. As your articles help you in building your business and your site, you will have more articles to write and maybe then you won’t be having second thoughts about articles.
